Today’s post is in collaboration with the beautiful Dawn over at http://www.apageoffictionallove.com and we have got together to give you guys a list of 5 Christmas things to do near us. I am from Birmingham in case you didn’t know so that is where all these activities will be based!
1. German Market
Who doesn’t love the legendary German Market! This place has everything you could want, sweets, chocolate, booze, food and shopping – I used to go religiously every single year but because of having Mia I haven’t had a chance!
Make sure you get yourself down there, even if its just for a hot chocolate and a hot dog (they are the best hot dogs you will EVER taste, I promise!).
2. The Snow House
This is the cutest idea and I am absolutely buzzing that this has come to Birmingham, I saw it in London last year and wanted to go so badly but now its here I will definitely go! Basically it is a bar where you can hire out igloos – £25 for 1 hour or £40 for 90 minutes + a bottle of prosecco. You don’t have to have an igloo, their bar is completely kitted out and has gorgeous Christmas themed food, drink and decor.
3. Ice Rink & Big Wheel
I don’t know if you knew this but every year Birmingham sets up a big ice skating rink and a big wheel ride in the city centre! It is so much fun and such a cute idea, I love thinking about all the cute first dates or an old couple wanting to relive their youth – these are the things I think about when it comes to Christmas, I go all soppy! Anyway they are both open 10am – 10pm and I will link the pricing info here – Pricing Info
4. Outdoor Cinema
I had no idea this existed until I started looking up activities for this post – Solihull hosts an outdoor cinema showing all the Christmas classics! HOW BRILLIANT! I love the idea of an outdoor cinema and have always wanted to go to one so fingers crossed I make it this year. It is completely free, showings start on the 10th December, there is a marque with hot food and drinks, blankets and limited seating! There are a bunch of different timings so I will link the post I found here – Showing Times
5. Santa’s Grotto
There are so so many places to visit Santa this year, you can pay to visit him at the sea life centre and the Birmingham museum! He is also available for visits at Drayton Manor and West Midland Safari Park (my favourite by far!).
I want to take Mia to see Santa this year and there have never been so many options, I am stupidly excited and I hope you are too!
I hope you enjoyed todays post, if you go to any of these activities then please let me know how you liked it! Please go and check Dawn’s post out and while your there give her blog a follow and have a cheeky peak at her social media;
